A leading regional firm of Chartered Accountants with an excellent reputation across the North West, are looking to appoint an Audit Senior/Assistant Manager within their Manchester office. The firm offer a full suite of services to a wide range of clients including; AIM listed clients, UK subsidiaries of International Groups, Small - Medium sized enterprises, Charities and the Public Sector. Their success is built on their approach - working as Business Advisors to their clients as opposed to Accountants - and the Audit Senior will be provided with exceptional opportunities to develop their client facing skills.
Working in their Manchester City Centre office, the Audit Senior/Assistant Manager will take responsibility for:
- Leading Audit engagements for a wide range of organisations within the North West.
- Supporting the Partner / Manager with planning the audit engagement, identifying areas for risk and ensuring adequate resources are allocated.
- Overseeing junior members of staff in the field and providing feedback and training at the end of the engagement.
- Reviewing the fieldwork and supporting the Manager with the final Audit report preparation.
- Preparation of annual financial statements.
- Supporting Partners / Managers in client meetings, building rapport with clients.
You will be ACA or ACCA Qualified with experience of leading Audit assignments, preferably gained within a Big 4, mid-tier or large independent firm. You will demonstrate the enthusiasm and potential to develop towards management in the future, and will possess first-class communication skills.
