Vacancy Overview

Clarke Roberts is recruiting on behalf of a leading firm of Chartered Accountants who are looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Senior. Suitable applicants for this position will be ambitious, enthusiastic and proactive with experience of reviewing and supervising all forms of corporation tax work, some advisory experience, and face to face client exposure.

Some personal tax experience would also be advantageous.

This individual must have a full clean driving license, and an ability and willingness to travel throughout the UK.

Key Roles and responsibilities

Responsible for undertaking all matters of a compliance nature, for a portfolio of the firm’s corporation tax clients.
Be able to communicate confidently and articulately with clients, HMRC and other professionals via face to face meetings, letter and phone calls.
Be able to recognise planning opportunities and discuss them with colleagues and clients.
Attend client meetings unaccompanied, as required.
Have a good awareness of all service lines offered by the tax department and ensure that for products within own specialist area, that you have the capability to explain these to your own clients.
Be involved in the production of articles and technical updates for both internal and external distribution.

Technical Competency

ATT and CTA qualified.
To be confident and proficient in corporation tax compliance matters including both preparation and review.
Undertake technical research and provide technical support to both subordinates and superiors.
Assist managers with ad hoc planning projects and in the production of tax planning reports Keep abreast of changing legislation within own service line and ensure this knowledge is shared within the department.
Present at departmental technical sessions.
Good IT skills, Microsoft etc
