My client is a 3 partner firm of Chartered Accountants, who service businesses in north Gwynedd, Anglesey and Conwy.
They are seeking a qualified accountant to become an audit manager, and to look after a significant number of the corporate clients. You will report to the senior partner and will be expected to carry out much of the audits at clients’ premises, so a full driving licence and vehicle are essential.
Many of the firms client companies are charities, so experience of auditing or accounts preparation for charities would be an advantage. They use Sage Accounts Production and Sage CT software. Many of the clients also use Sage 50, so experience of Sage packages would be advantageous. The audit system used is PCAS. Training on the various systems will be provided if necessary.
A team of accounts clerks will be available to assist on audits and accounts preparation, but you will be expected to be able to prepare statutory accounts, CT computations and CT600s for partner review, file abbreviated accounts with Companies House and CT returns with HMRC.
Ideally you will be an ACA or ACCA with several years of working in practice, with experience of auditing and preparing statutory accounts. The ability to communicate in Welsh and English is essential.
