Clarke Roberts are currently recruiting for a renowned, leading regional firm of chartered accountants in Blackpool. Our client is looking to hire an accountant with good experience dealing with GPs & Medical clients.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with Doctors' Practices and the Medical sector but also have varied general practice exposure to accounts preparation and tax work. Candidates who are ACA / ACCA qualified or part qualified will be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities:
 

• Preparation of statutory accounts predominantly for GP partnerships
• Accounts preparation for limited companies & sole traders
• Personal, partnership tax & corporation tax computations and returns
• Self-assessment tax return preparation
• Undertaking basic tax research under supervision
• Assistance with tax planning and advisory work
• Preparation and review of annual VAT partial exemption calculations
• Dealing with HMRC correspondence

Skills
 

• ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified
• AAT Qualified
• Good experience dealing with Partnerships
• Previous exposure to Healthcare & Medical clients
• Awareness & knowledge of complexity of dealing with Medical clients
