Vacancy Overview

A great opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant to join the accounts and audit department of a leading firm. The client range is wide, covering a number of sectors and business sizes including business start-ups through to multi-national organisations.

You will assist the Directors in managing a client portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, providing business advisory services, tax advice and financial and management accounting.

You will also be expected to identify business development opportunities including cross selling of services, along with the ability of generating new business through networking and other business development activities.

The successful candidate must:

Be ACA/ACCA qualified, or other equivalent with at least 5 years PQE (preferably within a small/medium sized practice)

Have experience in managing a portfolio of clients and working direct with partners/directors
Be technically strong in accounting, personal and corporate tax and VAT
Have experience of staff management and reviewing their work
Strong client interaction skills
Have excellent oral and written commuication
Strong organisational skills and ability to multi task
A self starter with the ability to work on a stand alone basis and as part of a team
Able to work under pressure and to time constrained deadlines
Be a contributor to business development, representing the firm at events and developing long term relationships with referrers, banks, solicitors etc

The job does involve travelling throughout the UK and may be 20% of the time.
